2nd August Historical event of Ananda Marga

Today is 2nd August 2020. 42 years before on this day of 1978, Baba Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji was released from Bankipur central jail after He was honorably acquitted of so called murder charges and was granted bail in several other minor cases.
Parama Purusa Baba had gone through almost 7 years incarceration in jail, including poisoning in a failed attempt to kill  Him on 12 February 1973. He demanded inquiry in the matter and when that was not granted Baba started an indefinite protest fast on 1st April 1973. The fast continued until He was released.
The day of release will remain a red letter day for ever, not only because He was being released after 7 years of tortures, but because the scenario of the release was unparalleled in the history of mankind. Thousands of devotees were waiting for that moment to have a glimpse of their most beloved Lord.
Baba was seated in the back seat of His majestic car and as soon as car came out, all the devotees rushed to have a glimpse of their most beloved charismatic leader. It was planned that after Baba’s car leaves, 4 other accomplices charged along with Baba, including General Secretary Ac. Sarveshvarananda Avt would be taken in a procession on an elephant that would pass through main thoroughfares of Patna. But all that completely failed because devotees were in no mood of this show. They went after their Baba’s car…running.
They wanted to see their Lord again and again and so all them ran behind Baba’s car to Baba’s residence in Pataliputra colony.

The world media was present in strength. The correspondents including  BBC were startled. They had never seen or heard of such a reception….thousands running after the car of their Guru. A running procession..So 2nd August 1978  is a day that none of us can forget.

आज से 2 अगस्त 2020 तक है। 1978 के इस दिन से 42 साल पहले, बाबा श्री श्री आनंदमूर्तिजी को बांकीपुर केंद्रीय जेल से रिहा कर दिया गया था, क्योंकि उन्हें तथाकथित हत्या के आरोपों से निर्दो्ष होने  की  विधिवत घोषणा किया गया था और कई अन्य छोटे मामलों में जमानत दी गई थी।
12 फरवरी 1973 को उसे मारने की नाकाम कोशिश में जहर देने सहित, जेल में लगभग 7 साल कैद से गुजरने के बाद, परम पूज्य बाबा जेल गए थे। उन्होंने इस मामले में जांच की मांग की और जब बाबा को यह मंजूर नहीं हुआ तो उन्होंने पहली बार 1973 से अनिश्चितकालीन अनशन शुरू कर दिया।  जब तक वह रिहा हुआ, तब तक उपवास जारी रहा।
रिहाई का दिन हमेशा के लिए लाल पत्र का दिन बना रहेगा, न केवल इसलिए कि उसे 7 साल की यातनाओं के बाद छोड़ा जा रहा था, बल्कि इसलिए कि रिहाई का परिदृश्य मानव जाति के इतिहास में अद्वितीय था।  हजारों भक्त उस क्षण की प्रतीक्षा कर रहे थे कि उन्हें अपने सबसे प्रिय भगवान की एक झलक मिले।
बाबा अपनी राजसी कार की पिछली सीट पर बैठे थे और जैसे ही कार निकली, सभी भक्त अपने सबसे प्रिय करिश्माई तारक ब्रह की एक झलक पाने के लिए दौड़ पड़े।  यह योजना बनाई गई थी कि बाबा की कार से निकलने के बाद, बाबा के साथ 4 अन्य साथी भी शामिल थे, जिनमें महासचिव एसी भी शामिल थे।  सर्वेश्वरानंद अवधूत को एक हाथी पर जुलूस में ले जाया जाएगा जो पटना के मुख्य मार्ग से गुजरेगा।  लेकिन यह सब पूरी तरह से विफल रहा क्योंकि भक्त इस शो के मूड में नहीं थे।  वे अपने बाबा की कार … दौड़ने के बाद गए।
वे अपने प्रभु को बार-बार देखना चाहते थे और इसलिए वे सभी बाबा की कार से पाटलिपुत्र कॉलोनी में बाबा के निवास के पीछे भागे।

विश्व मीडिया ताकत में मौजूद था।  बीबीसी सहित संवाददाताओं ने चौंका दिया।  उन्होंने इस तरह के स्वागत को कभी नहीं देखा या सुना था …. हजारों अपने गुरु की कार के पीछे दौड़ते हुए।  एक चलती हुई बारात। 2 अगस्त 1978 एक ऐसा दिन है जिसे हममें से कोई भी नहीं भूल सकता है।

(बाबा आनंदमूर्तिजी ने एमजी क्वार्टर में अपना उपवास तोड़ा। उनकी बड़ी बहन श्रीमती हीराप्रभा बसु ने उन्हें एक गिलास नारियल का पानी चढ़ाया)।

THE LONG AWAITED MOMENT (Baba’s Release Aug 2, 1978)

At last the long awaited moment came on August 2nd, 1978. About thirty-thousand devotees and sympathizers were gathered to witness BABA’s release. Tears of joy were flooding the streets of Patna. What a fantastic scene. The people were mad to see BABA ! BABA is not only ours; He belongs to everyone.

This I could see as I watched thousands of non-Margiis wait for hours to get a glimpse of Him. It was truly a unique event.

We were all assembled at the jail gate. The jail authorities allowed His car, decorated with flowers, to go to His cell. Then His car came out of the gate and slogans and shouts of BABA NAM KEVALAM thundered forth welcoming the Guru. Words cannot express the feeling that was there. BABA’s car was escorted by V.S.S., police, and thousands of His devotees who showered flowers on the car throughout the whole route to His quarters. Sweets were distributed everywhere, inside and outside of the jail. People, Margiis and non-Margiis alike, were running mad after the car all the way along the route. VSS people had to resort to Lathi charge (charging at the crowd with sticks) to break the crowds. No worldly man can understand the flow of intense love and devotion that was there that day” Seven beautiful arches were constructed along the way in the name of the seven brothers and sisters who self-immolated for Him.

BA’BA’ broke His fast taking coconut water from the hands of His sister, Hira Prabhaji. Every moment was an ecstatic one.

On the third morning a DMC was held. Two AVADHÚTA’s carried BA’BA’ on their shoulders. BA’BA’ spoke very briefly, first in English and later in Hindi. BA’BA’ said, “You should not be afraid. Dharmic forces are like the sun while immoral forces are like a glow worm.” BA’BA’ blessed us with Victory. Everybody’s hair was on end while seeing the radiating face of BA’BA ! ! – –

A bhajan was sung collectively and then BA’BA’ gave three directives:

1. To get all the brothers and sisters who are in jail on different continents out.

2. To start permanent relief projects in the names of the seven brothers and sisters who self-immolated.

3. To create a stir in each and every mind of the human society.

Now general Darshan is given regularly. Hundreds of His devotees are going to Patna to have His Darshan. Also His body is becoming well through eating a balanced diet.

Now, we must serve the society and also the cosmic father in all the three strata of our existence. We must serve the Parama Puruśa in the physical sphere – how? Living creatures are the progeny of Parama Puruśa, so we can serve Him physically by rendering service to living beings in the physical sphere, by removing their various physical miseries and afflictions and by showing them the path to liberation. We must take upon ourselves the responsibility to lead them forward not by telling them, “Alright, you go ahead, I am behind you!” but rather by saying, “I am going forward – you also come with me!”

This universe is a loving creation of Parama Puruśa. We can give joy to Parama Puruśa by serving His creations – human beings, animals and plants – and this service will be the best application of Neohumanism. This service can be done in four ways – viprocita sevá (intellectual service), kśatriyocita sevá (service of courage), vaeshyocita sevá (economic service) and shudrocita sevá (manual service). None of these is inferior: we cannot ignore any one of them. People should render service according to their capacity. Those who like intellectual service, can do that; those who like manual service, can do so. But it will be best if all the four types are performed.

आखिरकार 2 अगस्त 1978 को लंबे समय से प्रतीक्षित क्षण आया। बाबा की रिहाई को देखने के लिए लगभग तीस हजार भक्त और सहानुभूति रखने वाले एकत्र हुए थे। पटना की सड़कों पर खुशी के आंसू छलक पड़े. क्या शानदार दृश्य है। बाबा को देख पागल हो गए थे लोग! बाबा सिर्फ हमारे नहीं हैं; वह सबका है।

यह मैं देख सकता था क्योंकि मैंने हजारों गैर-मार्गी लोगों को उनकी एक झलक पाने के लिए घंटों इंतजार करते देखा था। यह वास्तव में एक अनूठी घटना थी।

हम सब जेल के गेट पर जमा थे। जेल अधिकारियों ने फूलों से सजी उनकी कार को उनके कक्ष में जाने की अनुमति दी। तभी उनकी कार गेट से बाहर निकली और बाबा नाम केवलम के नारे और नारे गरजने लगे और गुरु का स्वागत किया। शब्द उस भावना को व्यक्त नहीं कर सकते जो वहां थी। बाबा की कार को वी.एस.एस., पुलिस और उनके हजारों भक्तों ने ले लिया, जिन्होंने पूरे रास्ते कार पर उनके क्वार्टर तक फूलों की वर्षा की। जेल के अंदर और बाहर हर जगह मिठाई बांटी गई। मार्गी और गैर-मार्गी लोग पूरे रास्ते कार के पीछे पागल हो रहे थे। वीएसएस के लोगों को भीड़ को तोड़ने के लिए लाठीचार्ज (लाठी चार्ज करना) का सहारा लेना पड़ा। कोई भी सांसारिक व्यक्ति उस दिन के गहन प्रेम और भक्ति के प्रवाह को नहीं समझ सकता है” उनके लिए आत्मदाह करने वाले सात भाइयों और बहनों के नाम पर रास्ते में सात सुंदर मेहराबों का निर्माण किया गया था।

बाबा ने अपनी बहन हीरा प्रभाजी के हाथों से नारियल पानी लेकर अपना उपवास तोड़ा। हर पल रोमांचित करने वाला था।

तीसरी सुबह डीएमसी हुई। दो अवधृत ने बा’बा को अपने कंधों पर उठा लिया। BA’BA’ ने बहुत संक्षेप में बात की, पहले अंग्रेजी में और बाद में हिंदी में। BA’BA’ ने कहा, “तुम्हें डरना नहीं चाहिए। धार्मिक शक्तियाँ सूर्य के समान होती हैं जबकि अनैतिक शक्तियाँ दीप्तिमान कीड़ा के समान होती हैं।” BA’BA’ ने हमें विजय का आशीर्वाद दिया। BA’BA के दीप्तिमान चेहरे को देख सभी के रोंगटे खड़े हो गए ! ! – –

एक भजन सामूहिक रूप से गाया गया और फिर BA’BA’ ने तीन निर्देश दिए:

1. विभिन्न महाद्वीपों की जेलों में बंद सभी भाइयों और बहनों को बाहर निकालना।

2. आत्मदाह करने वाले सात भाई-बहनों के नाम पर स्थाई राहत परियोजना शुरू करना।

3. मानव समाज के प्रत्येक मन में हलचल पैदा करना।

अब सामान्य दर्शन नियमित रूप से दिए जाते हैं। उनके दर्शन करने के लिए उनके सैकड़ों भक्त पटना जा रहे हैं। साथ ही संतुलित आहार लेने से उनका शरीर भी स्वस्थ हो रहा है।

अब, हमें अपने अस्तित्व के तीनों स्तरों में समाज और ब्रह्मांडीय पिता की भी सेवा करनी चाहिए। हमें भौतिक क्षेत्र में परमपुरुष की सेवा करनी चाहिए – कैसे? जीवित प्राणी परमपुरुष की संतान हैं, इसलिए हम भौतिक क्षेत्र में जीवित प्राणियों की सेवा करके, उनके विभिन्न भौतिक दुखों और कष्टों को दूर करके और उन्हें मुक्ति का मार्ग दिखाकर उनकी शारीरिक सेवा कर सकते हैं। हमें उन्हें आगे ले जाने की जिम्मेदारी अपने ऊपर लेनी चाहिए, न कि यह कहकर कि, “ठीक है, तुम आगे बढ़ो, मैं तुम्हारे पीछे हूँ!” बल्कि यह कहकर, “मैं आगे जा रहा हूँ – तुम भी मेरे साथ आओ!”

यह ब्रह्मांड परमपुरुष की प्रेममयी रचना है। हम परमपुरुष को उनकी रचनाओं – मनुष्य, पशु और पौधों – की सेवा करके आनंद दे सकते हैं और यह सेवा नवमानवता का सर्वोत्तम अनुप्रयोग होगा। यह सेवा चार तरीकों से की जा सकती है – विप्रोचित सेवा (बौद्धिक सेवा), क्षत्रियोसित सेवा (साहस की सेवा), वैश्योकिता सेवा (आर्थिक सेवा) और शुद्रोचिता सेवा (मैनुअल सेवा)। इनमें से कोई भी हीन नहीं है: हम इनमें से किसी एक की उपेक्षा नहीं कर सकते। लोगों को अपनी क्षमता के अनुसार सेवा करनी चाहिए। जो बुद्धिजीवी सेवा पसन्द करते हैं, वह कर सकते हैं। जो लोग मैनुअल सेवा पसंद करते हैं, वे ऐसा कर सकते हैं। लेकिन यह सबसे अच्छा होगा यदि चारों प्रकार का प्रदर्शन किया जाए
